The phrase finding ‘the one’ is not just a phrase that we can pin on finding the right partner, it can also be attributed to finding the ultimate shoes, the shoes that will have you staring at it for ages imagining the amount of outfits you aim to buy to accompany ‘the one’. Yes shoes ladies we all love a good shoe, that precious little feature piece that will boost your outfit into the serious style status, and have you excitedly telling your friends about it so much so that you will happily put on your own impromptu catwalk in the middle of the high street (we can freely admit that we did this last week, with no shame or irony!) So what about vintage footwear?
First things first we know that in the past when we have mentioned vintage and footwear in the same sentence, we have been met with splatters of ‘ewww’ and ‘no ways’, for the reason with gathered the fear of wearing previously worn foot wear.
This week we have 5 reasons as to why vintage footwear is the way to get your fashionable foot through the door… (more…)

With the snow falling heavily and with all the reality-celebrity-soap omnibuses we can shake a stick at (yes, we have truly panned our mission to give up television), there is just no real need to leave the house at the weekend. The team at Darling HQ have found another reason to stay in, we can look at the stars that exercise rather exemplary fashion sense, even if we do say so ourselves.
If it’s good enough for Fashion week it’s certainly good enough for us. This week we decided to reveal a little taste of what is to come in the up and coming spring collection to cheer everyone in these gloomy months… (more…)
When getting ready to go out there can be a mountain of things to do: the hair, the make-up and most importantly, the outfit. Amongst all the twisting, teasing, plucking, plaiting and pampering, it can get all too complicated in our girls clothing, but there is one thing to remember; sometimes it’s best to keep it simple. All too often denim is overlooked when it comes finding a smart way to dress, just because it is touted as the casual staple, doesn’t mean that it has to BE casual. There are styles that range from straight leg to boot cut from Harem to wide leg it does not matter if you buy them at the local market or you shop online. Our only advice when attempting to buy clothes online (or anywhere else for that matter) is make sure they fit and that they are ironed well and are comfortable enough to be worn for a night on the town, darker denim is usually considered more appropriate for formal wear however, don’t let this restrict you especially if shopping online.
Stiletto, chunky and kitten and so forth, we know the range, we know you know the range that’s available when it comes to clothes and shoe shopping- either way heels are always going to make you a little bit dressier. Of course, heels alone can’t turn an everyday outfit into runway material, but with a good look around when shopping; you can really dress up your denim with some fashionable footwear. It’s also worth noting that heels make the legs look longer and leaner so grab a pair you can walk in and treat the world like your very own catwalk.
